”R&D” was conducted in France
by the PRODIPE team under the guidance of Ludovic Lanen with the collaboration of Roland Romanelli.
Ludovic Lanen tells us : " To develop the capsule, we found inspiration in the best in the category and constantly measured our work against DPA's mics.
This accordion pack is yours for €259 taxes included. But again, don’t go on price alone; we’re pursuing our goal of bringing professional quality within everyone’s reach. With this new range, Prodipe continues to make its mark in the world of professional audio. "
Roland Romanelli tells us: " Miking an accordion is no easy task. I actively participated in the creation of this new Prodipe mic pack, and, as you know, I’ve always attached great importance to sound precision and quality.
With my friend Ludovic Lanen and the whole Prodipe team, we’ve given particular attention to capturing the accordion’s sound.
In a mic, the component that demands excellence is the capsule. Prodipe has developed - in France - an electret capsule capable of handling 140dB, able to capture all the dynamism and nuance of your playing.
In addition, its great linearity will perfectly preserve the timbre and sound of your accordion.
Particular attention was given to the system of fastening the mics to the instrument: we opted for two “right-hand” mics. The fact is that a single mic to capture the accordion’s entire range forces you to position it quite far from the instrument, a real disadvantage when you’re surrounded by high-volume instruments like drums. By opting for two “right-hand” mics, you can place them in the immediate vicinity of the instrument and capture all the notes and harmonies without interference from the other instruments.
To position them in the best recording conditions, three clamps were created with the utmost care, two clamps for the right hand supporting two firmly suspended mics, and one for the left hand. Each clamp is positioned with Velcro to facilitate its attachment and detachment.
I’m delighted to have participated in developing this accordion pack that I myself now use on stage and in the majority of my recording sessions. It will be extremely useful for any and all accordionists. "

" As an accordion player, I’ve had the opportunity to test out all sorts of instrument mics but I’ve never found one that really fits the bill.
It was only when I tried the Prodipe AL21 Romanellis that I could finally hear the natural sound of my accordions."

" I chose Prodipe for my accordions. The R.S.L Lanen in the studio and the AL21 Romanelli pack on stage.
With the help of a friend, an excellent sound engineer, we compared them in the studio with other major reference brands, and it is clear that the AL 21s did not suffer in any way from this experience.
Except that the selling price is divisible by five and that I found the manufacturing quality of the accessories much more serious: case, wiring, connections... It’s up to you to hear it...
A big bravo and a big thank you to Roland, Ludovic and the entire Prodipe team for this great job."

" I have been using the Prodipe AL21 Romanelli mics for years now, with great satisfaction.
I have tried several competing models before, but none faithfully reproduce the sound of my accordion.
Prodipe is strong with a very affordable price, and a sound closer to the acoustics !
The various sound engineers with whom I was able to work are unanimous, and delighted with the quality of these mics."

" The Prodipe AL21 mic is the best option to amplify a bandoneon on stage.
Since I tried it I don’t want to use any other.
The audio quality is amazing and there is never any feedback. Really comfortable and versatile. "
