Thank you for thinking about drummers in designing these microphones.
Material of this quality ... at that price! I only have one thing to say: that's great Claude!
Drummer Jazz / Blues - Composer
It's always advisable to have at least one or two ambiance mics to achieve a deeper, fuller sound when recording drums. I've been using the new Claude Salmiéri DMA, which I often combine with Prodipe's DR8.
The DMA is perfectly suited to an ensemble sound (instruments like piano or strings with their rich harmonies, and vocal groups). Moreover, the dual suspension system blocks out any vibration.
Once again, Prodipe are offering a professional product of irreproachable quality and irreproachable price, and it's just as good as the bigger brands. Yes, this brand really does think like a musician and I'm 100% behind what they're doing. Our profession is in need of a rethink, and Prodipe embody that rethink.
Sound Engineer - Producer
I've really appreciated using the Claude Salmiéri DR8 drum mic kit. It has given me a lot, not only great dynamism and an accurate representation of the original sound, but a price that makes it such a worthwhile buy.
Drummer - Pianist - Composer
As drummers we often have to put up with the same problems, on stage or in a small studio - either there just aren't enough mics to get the best sound from all the pieces of a drum set, or the mics themselves just aren't up to the job.
The DR-8 case provides the solution and is a must for the drummer on the move. At such an unbeatable price, concert venues can now buy in professional equipment that will handle any situation. These mics have the same standard, if not better, than many of the models I've used in my career as a musician.
So when a manufacturer offers me impeccable quality at prices which have never been equalled for this level of professionalism, I have to give a thumbs up to the Prodipe philosophy.
