For my home-studio and for all my recordings, I use the range of Prodipe mics which I find extraordinary.
I know the skills of sound engineer of Ludovic Lanen and I am not surprised that his collaboration with Prodipe is also effective! Then, for me, Prodipe represents a new major brand.

Prodipe monitors and microphones give me the sound I have been looking for. In my studio I use the Prodipe Monitoring pack (The PRODIPE Pro10 and the ProRibbon8s/ ProRibbon5s). This system allows me to monitor at low volumes without suffering from ear fatigue, and create the mixes I need.
As Technology Co-ordinator of the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto), I use the same monitoring system and mics (
Ludovic Lanen STC-3D Studio Microphone, Ribbon 1 Ludovic Lanen; and the TT1 Ludovic Lanen microphone). At the Conservatory we record everything from solo performances to full orchestras and our Prodipe mics are part of the tools we use to consistently deliver quality recordings.
I love the sound that I get for live situations using the
TT1; this is one great dynamic mic. For recording that sweet, smooth vocal sound I always reach for the Ribbon 1 Ludovic Lanen first.
After learning about Prodipe from performers and producers at Omega studios,
I really wanted to have a go at the Ludovic Lanen STC-3D MK2 mic and the A1 mic.
I was especially surprised by the level of quality for the price. Each mic replicates the warmth of the source, which is rare for this type of mic. Usually they sound too cold and tinny.
In all honesty, at the moment, these mics are the best value for money, and they're already rubbing shoulders with our top of the range equipment.

I've been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to test Prodipe's STC-3D MK2 mic on various instruments in a recording studio-type environment.
What hit me most was the quality of the sound from the percussion instruments. For years I've been working with multi-instrument percussionists, and the STC-3D MK2 is a real bonus for today's sound engineers.
Recording percussion instruments is far from being straightforward. It's common practice to change the mic setup nearly every time the musician shifts from one instrument to another. Whether it's the tabla or the darbuka, the riq, daf, cajon, rainmaker or egg shaker, the sound from the STC-3D is always accurate, the drumbeats are dynamic and the mic adapts to the specific frequency range for each instrument. And this level of performance is possible because of the STC-3D MK2's versatility: it has a low cut filter switch, a -10dB pad switch and three choices of direction (uni/omni/bidirectional).
So it was no surprise to me at all when this excellent quality was maintained for previously recorded vocals, electric guitar amp recordings, and live recording of acoustic guitars, acoustic pianos and stringed instruments. And if you add another STC-3D MK2 for room ambience and a Duo A1 for overhead miking, you'll really get why Prodipe have established themselves as the least expensive of the major brands.
I first learned about Prodipe when I was working with Claude Salmiéri.
Ever since then I'm always using at least one of their products on stage or in the studio. My home studio includes the superb Pro 8 monitors and an STC-3D MK2 mic for vocals.
On stage I've opted for an authentic acoustic guitar sound with the Prodipe A1 mic.
Quality like that on a tight budget is definitely going to up the creativity levels

Comfortably installed in the habits and padded comfort of beautiful studios, formatted to the usual high standards of historical brands, I was unaware, a year ago, of the very existence of the Prodipe brand. Combining circumstances, here I am, one fine day, with two of their microphones in my hands, the
STC-3D Lanen and the Ribbon1 Lanen. That's pretty good, I just have a few electric and acoustic guitars to record for the music of the new Breitling commercial. A good opportunity to see, in real conditions, what these microphones have in the belly.
In short, I was, that day, amazed by their efficiency. I had beautiful "ensure the catch" by putting other well-known microphones (in case), I found myself, at the time of the mix, to prefer and to choose the Prodipe! Today, I am won over by them and, firmly fixed on their feet (microphones), they very rarely see their cases.
Here is a brand, which is more French, able to offer, with a quality / price ratio defying all competition, the most remarkable professional equipment. No need to look elsewhere, it's a waste of time. And the time lost is time that we don't spend making music. I have to renew a pair of monitoring speakers soon and I already know that the first pair that will purr in my ears will be a pair of Prodipe.
