Felice Reggio
Trumpeter - Conducting
For many years I've been using a whole range of clip-on mics for trumpet and bugle, but I've never been entirely satisfied with the result.
Finally, and it's thanks to my friend Louis Atzori, the drummer, I've found what I'm looking for in the Prodipe Lanen SB21. I've fallen in love with the quality and consistency of the sound, which is as pure as its source. And the SB21 softens the noise from the valves much better than any other mic. I'm impressed with the fantastic sound and I've been recommending it to all my colleagues - professionals and non-professionals alike.
I can hear the notes as they really are. No more distortion.
Many thanks to the Prodipe technicians for designing this superb mic.

Of all the components in a mic, the one that has to be infallible is the capsule. For the new Prodipe instrument mic range we have perfected an electret capsule here in France which can handle up to 140dB. And with this level of performance, our mic will preserve the full harmonic envelope and warmth of your instrument.
I have called upon only the best musicians to test the mic systems: Patrick Bourgoin for the saxophone, Yvon Guillard for the trumpet, Claude Salmiéri for percussion of course, Clément Garcin for the guitar and ukulele, Jean-Claude Auclin for the cello and Gérard Prévost for the double bass.
Our inspiration for developing the capsule has been the most reputed mics in the field. We have constantly compared the performance of our mics with DPA's.
Each of the 21 Series mic systems is priced at 109 euros. But don't let the price be the deciding factor. Buy the mic for its pro quality, because that's our objective: to make pro quality available to everyone.
And with this new range, Prodipe have done it again. They just can't stop making their mark on the world of pro audio.

Impossible is not French!
This maxim is perfectly suited to Prodipe and to the experience I had while contributing to the development of the new Series 21 mics. Prodipe and their R&D team have set themselves a goal: to create a proximity mic that attaches to instruments like the saxophone, trumpet and trombone, but also to percussion instruments, and at a price which is affordable, at last.
First there's the capsule, the heart and soul of this mic. The characteristics are incredible, and the result: 140dB. When you think that the mic is 4 times cheaper than the best of the rest! And musicians can expect an exceptional sound quality. So why pay more? And then there's the clip for easy attachment. Ludovic Lanen and I spent a considerable amount of time and energy devising a system that would be functional and flawless.
I really enjoyed my experience with Prodipe. They use their know-how to systematically push the boundaries, but even more than that, they have the means to achieve their ambitions and the evidence is there for all to see. They just keep moving forward. It's a Prodipe mic for me from now on.
Thanks Prodipe. Excellent, exemplary and accessible.
Yvon Guillard
Trumpeter
I've been using Prodipe equipment for several years now because I know how much attention they pay to the manufacturing side.
After testing the new SB21 instrument mic, I decided to have one of my own.
It gives me the natural sound of my instrument; it gives me a capsule that can handle the high pressure levels associated with the trumpet and it gives me an ingenious clamp that is very effective for positioning the mic.

Composer - Saxophonist
Whether in teaching, musical writing, stage production or studio activities, Prodipe products are part of my daily work.
Besides FINALE for my music editing work, it was also the whole range of microphones that convinced me.
The SB21 cell microphone now equips my alto and baritone saxophones. The sound reproduction is stunning, neutral and homogeneous over the entire range. The clamp and the rod are strong and easy to handle. In addition, TT1 Lanen , TT1 Pro Lanen instruments , STC-3D MK2 Lanen , Ribbon and other DRM-KD now enrich my personal or professional microphone parks. In a music school, Prodipe products go hand in hand with efficiency, robustness and reasonable budget.
Trusting Prodipe is the guarantee of clever, daring French engineering with an unbeatable quality / price ratio!

Tubist - Serpentist
I've been using the SB21 Lanen Sax and Brass mic for some time to add sound to my tuba and snake.
It is absolutely ideal: precise, faithful and resistant. I warmly recommend it to all musicians playing brass and woodwinds.
